On August 26th, 2014, Titan Books will release Plague World—the final novel of author Dana Fredsti’s acclaimed Ashley Parker Trilogy.  Fredsti’s Ashley Parker novels are endearing, addictive yarns depicting the zombie apocalypse with biting humor (yeah, yeah…that was a pun!), exhilarating action, heady drama, and gory terror to spare!  To mark this occasion, Ravenous Monster has decided to hold a writing contest and Titan Books has agreed to sponsor it….

Ms. Fredsti’s zombie mayhem is the exception to the rule that not much surprises us here at Ravenous Monster and that goes 666-fold when it comes to zombies.  We’ve seen just about every way a living corpse can crawl, shamble, and lurch its way from the grave and wander off in search of human flesh, brains, and entrails.  So surprise us!  Write us your best, most creative piece of zombie flash fiction and remind us why we’re scared of the living dead in 250 words or less!

Writers of the top three stories will win groundbreaking zombie fiction of their own.  First place snags you the entire Ashley Parker TrilogyPlague Town, Plague Nation, and the forthcoming Plague World, hot off the presses!  Second and third place will each receive copies of Plague World and all three winners will get their stories published right here at RavenousMonster.com!

Please submit your stories in the body of an email (no attachments!) to [email protected], subject line: Flash Fiction Contest.  Along with your story, please include your first and last name, the title of your story, and an email address where you’d prefer to be reached should you win.  The (living) deadline to send us your twisted tales is August 12th, 2014.  The winners will be announced here on Ravenous Monster and their stories will be published for the rest of you necrophiles to enjoy around the time Plague World is unleashed!

No previously-published stories.  All submissions must be your own.  All stories must involve zombies and be 250 words or less, no exceptions….

Blow our minds, Savage Readers, like a head-shot to the dome!
